Dr Denis Mukwege in Toulouse: the Fondation Pierre Fabre reaffirms its commitment to the Fondation Panzi
During his visit to Toulouse, Dr Denis Mukwege, a Congolese gynaecologist and obstetrician and 2018 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, took part in several events organised by the Fondation Pierre Fabre to discuss health and women’s protection issues in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
PROGRAMMES
Improving protection, prevention and access to health care for people with albinism in sub-Saharan Africa
The project aims to strengthen 9 albinism organizations in Côte d’Ivoire, Uganda, Niger, DRC and Madagascar, and improve the referral of people with albinism to holistic care adapted to their specific needs.

CAMPAIGNS
Albinism, shift perspectives
This campaign aims to inform, raise awareness, and change perceptions of albinism. It is part of the APPASAAS project, implemented by Fondation Pierre Fabre with support from the Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
The APPASAAS project aims to improve access to care and support for people with albinism, while helping to combat discrimination and misconceptions.
