On Wednesday 22 April 2026, the Global Coalition Against Sickle Cell Disease organised a webinar dedicated to the official launch of its new report entitled ‘Combating Sickle Cell Disease: Initiatives and Prospects in French-speaking Africa’.

Improving protection, prevention and access to health care for people with albinism in sub-Saharan Africa
The project aims to strengthen 9 albinism organizations in Côte d’Ivoire, Uganda, Niger, DRC and Madagascar, and improve the referral of people with albinism to holistic care adapted to their specific needs.

CAMPAIGNS
Albinism, shift perspectives
This campaign aims to inform, raise awareness, and change perceptions of albinism. It is part of the APPASAAS project, implemented by Fondation Pierre Fabre with support from the Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
The APPASAAS project aims to improve access to care and support for people with albinism, while helping to combat discrimination and misconceptions.
