FOURTH OCCITANIE CALL FOR PROPOSALS In 2019, following a call for proposals, six non- profit organisations in the Occitanie region were selected to receive ad hoc financial assistance to help them implement their initiatives in aiding healthcare development for the Global South’s poorer populations. The Foundation has held this call for proposals each year since 2016 in an effort to support health-cooperation entities in France’s Occitanie region. • ADEPASE Association – Prevention programme that protects teenage girls and young women in the Battambang Province (Cambodia). • Sauver la Face Association – Improve treatment for patients in Cambodia suffering the trauma and after-effects of facial paralysis. • Comité de coopération Castres Huye Rwanda Association – Developing eHealth to organise healthcare systems in the Huye district. • Institut de Génétique Moléculaire de Montpellier – Collaborative fundamental and epidemiological studies addressing adenoviruses in Chad and Burkina Faso in the broader context of vaccination. • Kania mod’action Association – Strengthen parental education in family planning, maternal, neonatal and child health through educational talks, home visits, community dialogue and health-worker training in the Republic of Guinea. • Codev Occitanie Association – Improve the quality of diagnosis and healthcare provided the population of Couffo department, Benin.
