In 2020, the global pandemic, still being felt around the world at this writing, further strained the already fragile healthcare systems of resource-poor countries.
Under such challenging circumstances, the Fondation Pierre Fabre has done everything possible to ensure that its development initiatives continue as much as context will allow and that the Foundation’s partners have the means to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is satisfying to report that our projects have continued to move forward despite such difficulties and we have managed to ensure,
without interruption, the contributions and assistance
we give to the most vulnerable populations. This is
by virtue of the unwavering commitment of our staff
at both our head offices and in the field, coupled
with the unfailing support of our partners, some of
whom we have been working with for many years
in places like Lebanon, Mali and Laos, and without whom nothing would be possible.
Our truly exceptional model of a shareholding foundation that operates its own programmes – as our founder, Pierre Fabre, intended – has also helped solidify the trust our institutional and financial partners have in us, entities whose support only increases with time.
The positive impact we have on the planet’s most disadvantaged peoples continues to gain recognition, bringing us the beneficial support of donors such as the Agence Française de Développement, which is working beside us in the Central African Republic as we assist victims of gender-based violence and is soon to be supporting other causes that are important to us.
In 2021, we will take another major step forward by committing even more substantial resources to our programmes.
The Fondation Pierre Fabre has done everything possible to ensure its partners have the means to cope with the pandemic.
