ACHIEVEMENTS IN 2020
• The global pandemic has had a profound impact on the planned programme and halted inter- university exchanges.
• To remedy this situation, universities have been provided with the technical equipment, servers and software necessary for distance learning.
• Several workshops will be held at each university courtesy of the AUF to train teachers in using the Moodle platform.

Support midwifery training at the Vientiane National School of Midwifery

• Update monitoring documents for the Midwifery Department at the Faculty of Nursing (alumni directory, teachers’ directory)
• Help 2 teachers from the Vientiane Midwifery Department to earn international Master’s degrees at Chiang Mai University in Thailand, and have 2 others begin the same instruction (first and second years)
• First delocalised train-the-trainers workshop held by teachers from the Midwifery Department of the Faculty of Nursing on the theme “How to provide proper continuous nursing training to improve maternal and child health in Laos”
• 8 outside speakers on teaching missions to educate students (7 Lao Anakhod, 1 Castres-Mazamet hospital complex)
• Practical internships for 22 fourth- year students in provincial and district hospitals
• Purchase of equipment and educational material (course materials, delivery kits, research protocol)

RESEARCH PROGRAMME: Assess the penetration of substandard and/or counterfeit medicines

ACTIONS
This programme is based on the study of the pharmaceutical quality of a pharmacological class (antiepileptics).
The medications are sampled in Laos, Cambodia and Thailand from official distribution channels (pharmacies, etc.) and grey/informal markets.
