Covid-19: the Fondation Pierre Fabre supports health workers<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\u00a0May 5, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\nAs the planet faces the worldwide COVID-19 epidemic, the Fondation Pierre Fabre is supporting its partners in the Global South. The Laboratoires Pierre Fabre, of which the Foundation is also the majority shareholder, has already reserved 34,000 bottles of hydroalcoholic gel (hand sanitiser) for donations, with an initial batch of 4,000 bottles of hand sanitiser already sent<\/strong> to partner health centres in Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, DRC, Cameroon, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Togo, Tanzania, CAR and Lebanon. FFP2-type protective masks (the equivalent of N95 masks) will also be dispatched in the coming weeks. The objective is to help protect the health workers battling the pandemic on the front lines.<\/p>\nThe current health crisis also authorises the Fondation Pierre Fabre, for the first time, to broaden the geographic scope of its intervention territory to include France, more specifically the Occitanie region, birthplace of the Group\u2019s founder.<\/p>\n
In addition to all the Pierre Fabre Group\u2019s donations to healthcare establishments, the Foundation has chosen to prioritise its support efforts for staff caring for the elderly in nursing homes<\/strong>, in increasingly difficult conditions exacerbated by lockdown orders and equipment shortages, and to provide as much assistance and comfort as possible to our elders. This initiative initially targets the French departments of Tarn and Haute-Garonne.<\/p>\nThis initiative makes possible:<\/p>\n
\n- Donations of hand-care and hand-hygiene products<\/strong> for healthcare personnel and the elderly in nursing homes. Nearly 30,000 hand-care kits will be distributed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
- Distribution of cloth face masks<\/strong>, certified Category 1, for use by staff at these establishments. The masks are made in Occitanie by the textile mill Filatures et Tissages Jules Tournier & Fils in Mazamet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
All these products will be distributed via the Tarn and Haute-Garonne Conseils d\u00e9partementaux (area councils). This operation has been made possible by Toulouse entrepreneurs, sports clubs directors who generously offer their support. They hope that their commitment inspires all those in the athletic communities they represent in the region\u2019s sports clubs \u2013 including iconic groups such as Les Dauphins du TOEC, the Stade Toulousain, the Toulouse Football Club and the Castres Olympique \u2013 to do what they can for this cause.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\u00a0May 5, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n As the planet faces the worldwide COVID-19 epidemic, the Fondation Pierre Fabre is supporting its partners in the Global South. The Laboratoires Pierre Fabre, of which the Foundation is also the majority shareholder, has already reserved 34,000 bottles of hydroalcoholic gel (hand sanitiser) for donations, with an initial batch of 4,000 bottles of hand sanitiser already sent<\/strong> to partner health centres in Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, DRC, Cameroon, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Togo, Tanzania, CAR and Lebanon. FFP2-type protective masks (the equivalent of N95 masks) will also be dispatched in the coming weeks. The objective is to help protect the health workers battling the pandemic on the front lines.<\/p>\n The current health crisis also authorises the Fondation Pierre Fabre, for the first time, to broaden the geographic scope of its intervention territory to include France, more specifically the Occitanie region, birthplace of the Group\u2019s founder.<\/p>\n In addition to all the Pierre Fabre Group\u2019s donations to healthcare establishments, the Foundation has chosen to prioritise its support efforts for staff caring for the elderly in nursing homes<\/strong>, in increasingly difficult conditions exacerbated by lockdown orders and equipment shortages, and to provide as much assistance and comfort as possible to our elders. This initiative initially targets the French departments of Tarn and Haute-Garonne.<\/p>\n This initiative makes possible:<\/p>\n All these products will be distributed via the Tarn and Haute-Garonne Conseils d\u00e9partementaux (area councils). This operation has been made possible by Toulouse entrepreneurs, sports clubs directors who generously offer their support.
