Six associations from the Occitanie region receive project support from the Fondation Pierre Fabre<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>04\/18\/2018<\/strong><\/p>\nTheir projects will improve access to healthcare for underprivileged populations in Guinea, Madagascar, DRC, Burkina Faso, Niger and Laos.<\/strong><\/p>\nThe six projects selected were presented at a ceremony held on 18 April 2018 at the Foundation\u2019s Lavaur headquarters.<\/p>\n

The Fondation Pierre Fabre\u2019s call for regional project proposals, the first of which was launched in 2016, targets cooperative partners in the Occitanie region implementing initiatives that contribute to improved healthcare for underprivileged populations in the Global South. It is an expression of the Foundation\u2019s commitment to supporting proactive, cooperative healthcare actors in the Occitanie region. The 2018 call for projects was open from 8 November 2017 to 15 January 2018. Of the many projects received this year, 13 were reviewed by the selection panel and the following six were chosen as winners:<\/p>\n
\n- Association pour la promotion des neurosciences au Laos<\/strong>\u00a0(Montpellier, H\u00e9rault) – Strengthening neurological skills and improving access to neurological care in Laos<\/li>\n
- Association Inter Aide<\/strong>\u00a0(Toulouse, Haute-Garonne) – Lasting reduction of infant and child mortality in isolated rural areas in south-eastern Madagascar.<\/li>\n
- Association Les Enfants de l’A\u00efr<\/strong>\u00a0(Montauban, Tarn-et-Garonne) – Support for coordinating and pooling the resources needed for emergency management in the urban district of Kankan in the Republic of Guinea.<\/li>\n
- Association Paul Bouvier\u00a0<\/strong>(Saint Hippolyte du Fort, Gard) – Medical care and inclusive education for hearing-impaired children in Burkina Faso.<\/li>\n
- Association Alliances Internationales<\/strong>\u00a0(Blagnac, Haute-Garonne) – Improving the technical and medical capacities of the Kabinda hospital laboratory in the Democratic Republic of Congo.<\/li>\n
- Association Takolt N\u2019Akarass<\/strong>\u00a0(Toulouse, Haute-Garonne) – Training for matrones (supervisors\/monitors) in camps in the Egandawel region and family planning in Niger.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
Vital support<\/strong><\/p>\nDuring the ceremony, Pierre-Yves Revol, President of the Foundation, reminded those present that this call for projects was fully aligned with the Foundation\u2019s mission, in that it supports NGOs that are working to improve access to healthcare in the Global South.<\/p>\n
Jean-Michel Mougard, Prefect of the Tarn and Foundation Administrator, emphasised \u201cthe humanist values of solidarity, sharing, generous giving and the desire for effectiveness that are the DNA of the Fondation Pierre Fabre<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\nSince 2002, nearly sixty varied initiatives have received financial support from the Foundation, totalling more than \u20ac580,000. The Occitanie Coop\u00e9ration network, of which the Fondation Pierre Fabre has been a member for several years, is a partner in this operation.<\/p>\n<\/div>

04\/18\/2018<\/strong><\/p>\n Their projects will improve access to healthcare for underprivileged populations in Guinea, Madagascar, DRC, Burkina Faso, Niger and Laos.<\/strong><\/p>\n The six projects selected were presented at a ceremony held on 18 April 2018 at the Foundation\u2019s Lavaur headquarters.<\/p>\n The Fondation Pierre Fabre\u2019s call for regional project proposals, the first of which was launched in 2016, targets cooperative partners in the Occitanie region implementing initiatives that contribute to improved healthcare for underprivileged populations in the Global South. It is an expression of the Foundation\u2019s commitment to supporting proactive, cooperative healthcare actors in the Occitanie region. The 2018 call for projects was open from 8 November 2017 to 15 January 2018. Of the many projects received this year, 13 were reviewed by the selection panel and the following six were chosen as winners:<\/p>\n Vital support<\/strong><\/p>\n During the ceremony, Pierre-Yves Revol, President of the Foundation, reminded those present that this call for projects was fully aligned with the Foundation\u2019s mission, in that it supports NGOs that are working to improve access to healthcare in the Global South.<\/p>\n Jean-Michel Mougard, Prefect of the Tarn and Foundation Administrator, emphasised \u201cthe humanist values of solidarity, sharing, generous giving and the desire for effectiveness that are the DNA of the Fondation Pierre Fabre<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n Since 2002, nearly sixty varied initiatives have received financial support from the Foundation, totalling more than \u20ac580,000.
