Since 2015, the FPF has made albinism of its core priorities. It supports and implements initiatives focused on prevention and therapeutic education, public awareness, training for healthcare and education professionals, medical and psychosocial care for persons with albinism, as well as scholarship provision and socio-economic empowerment. These efforts are guided by a twofold approach: innovation and research, leveraging the FPF\u2019s scientific and medical expertise, and sustainability, through strong partnerships with local authorities and stakeholders.<\/p>\nThrough its projects and collaborations, the Fondation Pierre Fabre has expanded the scope of care available to persons with albinism, while responding to the needs of grassroots associations, particularly in terms of awareness-raising and advocacy.<\/p>\n
Since late 2023, the Fondation Pierre Fabre is implementing a multi-country project entitled \u201cImproving Protection, Prevention, and Access to Care for People with Albinism in Sub-Saharan Africa\u201d (APPASAAS) with financial support from the French Development Agency (AFD). The project runs in five countries (Cote d’Ivoire, Madagascar, Niger, Uganda, and Democratic Republic of Congo) and aims to : improve knowledge and documentation on albinism ; strengthen the organizational and networking capacities of associations of persons with albinism at local, national and international level ; facilitate access to tailored care by mapping existing dermatological, eye health, and mental health services ; develop information, education, and communication tools; support associations and national authorities in adopting and implementing protective public policies.<\/p>\n
<\/div><\/div><\/div>\nObjectives of the Call for Projects<\/strong><\/p>\nTo further its commitment to persons with albinism, the Fondation Pierre Fabre is launching a Support Fund<\/strong> for associations of persons with albinism and nonprofit organizations working on their behalf. This Call for Projects 2025<\/strong> aims to support initiatives (project, activities, event) whose primary objective is to improve the health, rights or living conditions<\/strong> of persons with albinism in low- and middle-income countries.<\/p>\nIn line with best practices in humanitarian aid, the Fondation Pierre Fabre also encourages projects that strengthen the institutional capacities of participating organizations.<\/p>\n
<\/div><\/div><\/div>\nEligible organizations<\/strong><\/p>\nThis call is open to associations of persons with albinism and non-profit organizations working to benefit persons with albinism, hereinafter referred to as “organizations”. To be eligible, organizations must have official legal status, hold a bank account in the organization\u2019s name and operate in a resource-limited country.<\/p>\n
Please note: organizations already receiving funding from the Fondation Pierre Fabre for an ongoing project are not eligible under this call.<\/p>\n
Organizations may apply for funding to :<\/p>\n
\n- Contribute to the financing of an ongoing project<\/li>\n
- Develop a new initiative<\/li>\n
- Organize an event<\/li>\n
- Fund a specific service<\/li>\n
- Acquire durable equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
NB: Requests for durable equipment must be part of a broader organizational strengthening strategy and clearly justified in the application. Vehicle purchases are not eligible under this call.<\/p>\n
<\/div><\/div><\/div>\nFunding details<\/strong><\/p>\nThe total budget allocated by the Fondation Pierre Fabre for this call for projects from the Support fund for associations of people with albinism is \u20ac125,000<\/strong> for the year 2025.<\/p>\nEach selected project may receive up to \u20ac20,000<\/strong>, which will be transferred directly to the organization’s bank account. Funds should preferably be used before the end of 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\nHow to apply<\/strong><\/p>\nOrganizations are invited to complete the “AAP 2025 project form\u201d, available for download on the Fondation Pierre Fabre website. - A budget forecast indicating the requested grant from the Fondation Pierre Fabre<\/li>\n
- Legal documents including: official articles of association with registration number, receipt or certificate of registration, and bank account details in the name of the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Organizations may submit only one project proposal under this call.<\/p>\n

Only data strictly necessary for the purpose defined below will be collected (Hereinafter the “Personal Data”).
\nPersonal Data will be processed solely for the purposes of managing this call for projects, including project evaluation and selection. Further processing details may be outlined in partnership agreements signed with selected organizations. Personal Data will be retained only for the duration necessary to manage the call and execute subsequent partnership agreements.<\/p>\n
These provisions are supplemented by the other provisions relating to the processing of your personal data and the exercise of your rights in the privacy policy available at the following link: Privacy policy – Pierre Fabre Foundation<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\nEvaluation and selection process <\/strong><\/p>\nSubmitted projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria: relevance (alignment of proposed activities with identified needs, project context, consistency with national strategies, particularly in terms of public health, and alignment with the mission and values of the Fondation Pierre Fabre), coherence (clarity of roles, stakeholders involvement, and the experience of the implementing organization), efficiency (adequacy of the proposed budget relative to planned activities) and compliance (conformity with national regulations).<\/p>\n
The selection process will take place in four stages:<\/p>\n
\n- Review of the completeness and eligibility of submitted applications<\/li>\n
- Evaluation of projects based on the above criteria<\/li>\n
- Interviews with shortlisted organizations<\/li>\n
- Final selection of projects<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
All selected projects will be subject to final approval by the Fondation Pierre Fabre\u2019s decision-making bodies.<\/p>\n
