Did you know that West Africa has an average of one dermatologist for every 260,000 to 2,500,000 inhabitants? To meet this challenge, the Fondation Pierre Fabre is helping to fill the gap in the treatment of skin diseases in Africa.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Africa, skin diseases are an important reason for patients to consult a dermatologist; often harmless at the beginning, they can evolve into worrying clinical situations if they are not diagnosed and treated appropriately.
\nIn a context of shortage of dermatologists and partial dermatological territorial coverage, the management of skin conditions with potentially severe complications remains a real challenge, particularly in rural areas.<\/p>\n

After Bamako in 2017 and Lom\u00e9 in 2019, the Fondation Pierre Fabre organized the 3rd African Dermatology Conference in Abidjan,\u00a0 C\u00f4te d’Ivoire, from October 11 to 12.<\/p>\n

Bringing together more than a hundred participants from more than ten countries, these 3rd Assises allowed to review the progress made in the training of health professionals, in the development of remote diagnosis and in the prevention of social and health risks for people with albinism.<\/p>\n
