On October 24, a delegation from the Fondation Pierre Fabre, led by its President Pierre-Yves Revol, took part in the inauguration of the new biological analysis and dental prosthesis laboratories of our partner, the Order of Malta Lebanon, within the Saint-Jean-Baptiste medical and social center in Aïn el-Remmaneh.

These laboratories will make it possible to meet the essential health needs of a population violently affected by one of the worst economic, financial and social crises.

This initiative is co-financed by the Fondation Pierre Fabre and the French Development Agency.

The delegation also inaugurated a new mobile medical unit (the Order of Malta Lebanon’s 7th) which started its consultation campaigns in early November in the Chouf region.

Five days a week, the mobile medical unit will cover 20 villages, with a team comprising a doctor, a nurse, a social worker, a center coordinator and a field coordinator. Patients will be able to receive a consultation as well as their medication free of charge.

This new unit in the Chouf is supported by the Fondation Pierre Fabre and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs

These actions are part of a vast program to improve access to quality care for the most vulnerable populations in Lebanon.
